To suit a range of site conditions and flow requirements, the ACO SuDS Swale Inlet is available in two pipe connection sizes:

110mm Dia Swale Inlet

• Designed for 110mm pipe connection, to meet flow rate guidance in CIRIA C753
• Compact and visually discreet, making it ideal for locations with limited visual impact requirements
• Perfect for use in small catchments, and restricted spaces like rain gardens or small swales

160mm Dia Swale Inlet

• Designed for 160mm pipe connection, to meet flow rate guidance in CIRIA C753
• Ideal for sites with larger contributing areas or greater rainfall intensity
• Offers all the same installation and aesthetic benefits as the smaller unit, particularly suited to swales or larger features

The SuDS Swale inlets are compatible with optional grating kits for applications that require a greater degree of protection. Available in a choice of two different grating types, the Swale Inlet Kit contains: 

• 1 Stainless Steel Grating (of selected type)
• 1 Security Allen Key
• 3 Nyclon Anchors
• 3 Fixing Screws
• 3 Washers

Standard mesh grating

The standard mesh grating kit is suitable for SuDS features which will be regularly mowed or maintained. The grate prevents mower wheels from falling into the outlet.

Newt mesh grating

The newt mesh grating kit is specifically designed for Newts and other amphibians. The mesh limits their access to the Swale Inlet, and retains the species in their natural environment.
