ACO Announce 2021 Webinar Seires

Following an enthusiastic response to its Autumn / Winter programme, ACO has announced its 2021 webinar series.

Flooding is an ongoing concern – as shown over the Christmas period - that will impact the design and delivery of construction projects throughout 2021. ACO’s CPD series will start in February, and cover some of the key issues linked to drainage. All of the seminars are free to attend, and are suited to those looking to refresh their knowledge of drainage applications.

The programme builds on the success of last year’s Autumn / Winter series, and is comprised of webinars from across ACO Water Management and ACO Building Design. Alongside applications such highways, rail, SuDS, and geocellular structures, it will also include sessions on effective grease management, blue/green roof design, and design requirements for commercial drainage.

The 2021 series includes the following webinars:

  • 3 February – Geocellular: specify it right
  • 10 February – Blue/Green Roof Design
  • 17 February – Managing highways surface water
  • 24 February – Design requirements for commercial drainage
  • 10 March – Super amphibian highway
  • 11 March – Blue/Green Roof Design
  • 17 March – Managing rail surface water
  • 24 March – Effective grease management
  • 31 March – Practical and sustainable surface water management

All webinars start at 12.30pm

Oliver Collins, Product Marketing Manager - House & Garden at ACO Water Management, comments: “We had an overwhelmingly positive reaction to our winter series, with hundreds of registrations and some really good engagement across the board.

“ACO is committed to delivering CPD content that is both engaging and practical.  The lunchtime sessions are designed to provide those tasked with delivering construction projects with important tips and considerations related to water management, with real-life examples to showcase best practice.”

The series includes three new topics from ACO’s Building Drainage division, one of which is on design requirements for commercial drainage. It will provide a comprehensive briefing on the key criteria to consider when specifying commercial drainage, and covers materials, load considerations, hydraulic capacities, and location specific criteria.

Blue / Green Roof Design, meanwhile, will look at the creation of sustainable urban environments. It will define the different types of blue and green roof designs, give highlights, and explain the key drainage considerations.

Finally, effective grease management will explore the problems caused by fats, oils and grease (FOG) in commercial kitchen settings. Seeking to provide expert specification guidance for different grease management solutions, the session will highlight industry best practice for kitchen designers, consultants, contractors, and operators.

All of the webinars will include a Q&A section, and will be made available on-demand for those who wish to receive the content.
