StormTank
Introduction to the system
ACO StormTank is a stormwater infiltration and attenuation system. The lightweight modular cell system is designed for use in a variety of applications including distribution parks, car parks, commercial and residential developments. ACO StormTank has been tested in accordance with CIRIA guidelines and is suitable for use in landscaped and vehicular trafficked areas.
Manufactured from recyclable plastic, the lightweight material makes ACO StormTank easy to handle and quick to install. Each cell has a 97% void ratio reducing the cost associated with excavation and aggregates compared with traditional gravel based solutions.
Available in a range of depths, ACO StormTank can be used in a modular format to form a stormwater storage unit configured to suit the capacity required, soil conditions, and the land area available.
Open on all four vertical sides, this innovative design offers completely free access for the inspection and maintenance of the system and removes the potential for silt build up or blockage - a major consideration for the long term functionality of any stormwater storage system.
Complemented by a wide range of accessories, the ACO StormTank system provides all associated materials and connections necessary for a trouble-free, fast installation. The full range of accessories includes pipe connectors, geotextiles and geomembranes.
ACO StormTank is the only plastic modular system that meets the criteria for adoptability, as it allows three dimensional unrestricted flow with side panels only required at the perimeter. ACO StormTank therefore minimises the need for expensive manifolds and additional pipework to distribute flows.
With the use of additional internal walls and geotextile covering, ACO StormTank can be configured to control and manage the potential for silt accumulation that can reduce the effectiveness and life span of the stormwater system.
